Someone stole a woman’s wallet from her apartment between 9:45 p.m. Feb. 3 and 6:30 a.m. Feb. 4. The woman, a resident of a complex on the 75-6000 block of Alii Drive, told police she was asleep when someone entered through the unlocked sliding patio door and took the wallet out of her purse. The person then left the apartment, took $200 in cash out of the wallet and discarded everything else. Another resident found the wallet and returned it.

A large combination safe and other items were stolen from an office on Feb. 4 on the 84-5100 block of Painted Church Road. Someone entered through the locked window on the back of the building. They stole the safe, which contained Canadian currency, and the other items before leaving. The total value was listed as $495.56.
A Microsoft Surface Pro and Kindle Fire were reported stolen from a hotel room on the 75-5800 block of Alii Drive on Feb. 2. The total value was estimated at $750.

An unusual sequence of thefts struck Pre-Owned Motor Cars some time between 1:15 a.m. and 2:15 a.m. Feb. 3. Someone entered the dealership parking area and smashed in the rear passenger window of a vehicle. The person took out a number of tools and miscellaneous items, then headed to a small shed under a carport. Cutting the pad lock, they entered and took out a key for the second vehicle under the carport. The person put the items into the second vehicle and parked it next to the initial target. They then left on foot, leaving both vehicles and all the items behind.
A man reported his mother’s car was stolen on Feb. 5 in a parking lot on the 75-5600 block of Palani Road. The man told police he was intoxicated and slept it off the in the vehicle. He woke up and could not find the keys, so he returned to the bar to search for them. By the time he returned, the vehicle was no longer there. It has a plate of MRC048.
